윗분이 아무래도 잘못된 정보를 갖고 계신 것 같아서 여기에 소스를 첨부합니다. 한번 읽어보세요. 미국 국내선은 여권 필요없습니다. 사진이 있는 신분증만 소지하면 됩니다.
The proposed implementation timeline has two phases:
Beginning January 23, 2007, ALL persons, including U.S. citizens, traveling by air between the United States and Canada, Mexico, Central and South America, the Caribbean, and Bermuda will be required to present a valid passport, Air NEXUS card, or U.S. Coast Guard Merchant Mariner Document, or an Alien Registration Card, Form I-551, if applicable.
As early as January 1, 2008, ALL persons, including U.S. citizens, traveling between the U.S. and Canada, Mexico, Central and South America, the Caribbean, and Bermuda by land or sea (including ferries), may be required to present a valid passport or other documents as determined by the Department of Homeland Security. While recent legislative changes permit a later deadline, the Departments of State and Homeland Security are working to meet all requirements as soon as possible. Ample advance notice will be provided to enable the public to obtain passports or passport cards for land/sea entries.

정말 법이 바뀌었나요? 저는 2주전에 샌프란시스코 갔었는데, 그때는 공항에서 면허증만 제시해도 아무말 안하던데요.

법이 바뀌어서 이젠 괌 뿐만이 아니라 샌디에고에서 샌프란시스코를 비행기를 타고 가도 여권을 지참해야 한답니다. 어제 편지보내러 우체국에 갔었는데 거기 여권만들려고 온 사람들이 선 줄이 장난이 아니었음.
