Job Description
Position: HR Generalist
Location: San Jose, CA
Responsibilities:
- Create, maintain and update Employee’s Handbook
- Maintain/supervise all HR records in accordance with compliance laws and policies
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management
of employees to reduce legal risks and ensure regulatory compliance
- Keep improving and updating HR system
- Maintain/supervise data entry into the HRIS system (ADP)
- Process new hires, transfers and terminations ensuring accurate data entry in all
relevant systems
- Schedule and conduct all new hire orientations and ensure all new hire paperwork is
completed and submitted on time
- Support all people-related business needs including workforce planning, recruiting,
development and retention.
- Follow up with business plan each end of the year
- Maintain and produce regularly scheduled HR reports
- Provide feedback, coaching and resources to manager and employees covering the
spectrum of business/people needs.
- Evaluate company culture and provide recommendations on changes to accomplish
company goals.
- Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conduct effective, thorough
and objective investigations and mediate workplace disagreements.
- Collaborate with the Management Team in planning effective staff meetings and the
organization.
- Communicate efficiently and constantly with HQ HR related issues
- Strategize and coordinate projects, presentations and training, as needed
- Develop positive employee relations by responding to all employee questions and
concerns in a timely and thorough manner
- Keep senior management informed of all pertinent issues
- Coordinate morale and team building events
- Comply with the company’s policy and procedure
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- 5+ experience in Human Resources with generalist exposure to employment
processes, employee relations, compliance, talent acquisition
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately
- Computer literate (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), as well as familiarity with Oracle
- Working Knowledge of HR legal compliance
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Professional demeanor on phone and in-person, strong communication skills
- Organized, detail oriented, and ability to multi-task
- PHR certification a plus
- Team Worker, Good Attitude, Energetic
- Bilingual (Korean and English) a plus
