Hyundai Translead, a leader in the North American transportation equipment industry, has an excellent opportunity available for a Strategic Planning Specialist in the Sales & Marketing Strategy Department. Major purpose of this position is to assist in the development of the company’s overall strategy and business planning, and to generate practical analysis for upper management. Responsibilities include the following but are not limited to: P&L analysis, new business development, competitor analysis, market & marketing research, and HQ reporting. Assessment of business processes and seeking strategic alliance is also a part of this position’s objective. Cooperation with the Sales, Marketing, and Dealer Network team is an essential function of this position.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities
25%: Support annual and long term business planning.
- request, receive, and analyze forecast data from sale and finance team
- prepare presentations and follow-up reports for management
- track and analyze on-going planned vs. actual company performance
- understand economic, industry, company developments and trends
25%: Conduct various customer, competitor, industry, and sale performance analysis.
- prepare monthly P&L analysis at customer and sales channel levels
- collect, analyze, and report monthly sales performance and industry demand data
- maintain customer accounts list and perform customer segmentation analysis
- prepare quarterly competitor analysis
20%: Support new business, sales enhancement, and risk management projects.
- participate in special projects or business initiatives as needed
- collect, analyze related data and prepare related presentations for management
- coordinate interaction with project shareholders (internal/external)
Secondary Responsibilities
10%: Coordinate quarterly sales meetings and annual dealer meeting.
- communicate with sales personnel to collect performance data and prepare presentations
- assist in multiple coordination duties for annual dealer meeting
10%: Support management and HQ reporting.
- prepare various ad hoc management reports
- assist in the preparation of monthly Headquarter reporting
5%: Support various sales, marketing, dealer network initiatives.
- perform requested duties as needed (ex: RFQs, show display inventory control)
5%: Support tradeshow execution.
- assist in the set-up and tear down of tradeshows as needed
Required:
· Bachelor degree
· Minimum 2-3 years experience; Strong excel and data analysis skills required; related industry or manufacturing background preferred
· Effective communication, organizational and decision making skills
· Ability to travel to our manufacturing plant in Tijuana, MX as needed, as well as work overtime
· Knowledge and use of SAP system, PowerPoint, Excel and Word and outlook
· Valid CA driver’s license
